I am determined to work with my horse in this way. Carolyn's book is incredible & I so envy her childhood! A person could paint pictures to the detail described by her of her surroundings. I am very excited about learning more about this training method! my horse is young (my first horse, born in my back yard) & I am not comfortable with a lot of the so called natural training I have seen here - it is still too dominating. I was looking for something more & believe I have found what I was looking for. everything she says about her training philosophy is what I was feeling instinctively without knowing exactly how to go about it. I was able to experience her WATER RITUALS training and it was a profound experience. Every way in which Carolyn works with horses is based on respect, leadership and deep understanding of horses as prey/herd animals and as heart companions. There is no one doing the type of trainings she has developed. If you don't know who she is you should read her book, NAKED LIBERTY. Her story is unique, beautiful and brave.
